Peneidon shrimps are quite diversified in the Lebanese Lagerstatten an dinclude the specie Carpopenaeus callirostris. This shrimp, from four to nine centimeters in length, is found in the site of Haqel and in Hjoula.
It is characterized by a long, upward curved rostrum that exhibits 10 teeth dorsally and only one ventrally. The first three ambulacral appendages have an end pincer. The first appendage is definitely longer and stronger than the others.
