Fossils

A silent witness of the ancient past. With a collaboration with the Geolinea Paleontological Laboratory (GPL), we have taken on the role of revealing the secrets of fossils while still respecting nature. If allowed to remain where they are, the natural forces of the earth would eventually erode these fossil records.

As a result of careful research and evaluation undertaken by expert palaeontologists, the Blue John Gallery present the most beautiful and representative specimens from the sedimentary layers of the earth’s crust. Each fossil specimen has been prepared by an expert technician from the GPL.

All fossils are collected with special permits in compliance with rules and laws of the country of origin, private quarry or mine. All prospecting and digging respects and never damages the natural environment. The best, most rare and unusual fossils discovered are first submitted to scientific institutions to be studied. Only after this are they allowed to be sold.

All specimens available from the Blue John Gallery are guaranteed 100% authentic, with each one accompanied by its own Certificate of Origin and Authenticity.
